This is the story of a life with and the loss of a very special dog. It’s a journey through unbounded joy, crushing grief, and the path forward. Woody was a very special animal, and he made abrupt and profound changes to me while he was alive, and those changes continue today.

About the Author
Richard
Richard is an author, filmmaker. Video music producer, and
musician. He has written 3 books on
creative photography. In 2022 Richard produced and directed the award winning
documentary on the history and origins of modern surfing, “Addicted to
Joy”. Richard’s photographs have been exhibited around the world and he
has lectured and taught in the United States, Europe and Australia. Richard
writes a frequent blog about his continuing recovery and growth on the web page
richardnewmanauthor.com. He has been married to Wendi for over 40 years and is
a dedicated dog dad to their current Great Danes.
